The vehicle architecture was created using all the degrees of freedom that a purely electric drive brings with it. We concentrated these degrees of freedom in a purpose-designed vehicle architecture that is fully exploited, and which is made possible by a purely electric drive. At the same time, this is the first industrialised Level 4 light commercial electric vehicle.
The PeopleMover L4 can be equipped with different automated driving stacks for use in different territories and use cases. It offers comfortable space for 19 passengers and enables an economical on-demand service in shuttle operation.
Deployment outside of public traffic is already possible in many countries today. Within the framework of the ongoing legalisation of Level 4 vehicles, the PeopleMover L4 will also be able to participate successively in public road traffic.
Gated communities are tightly controlled environments and are contained within private roads. They are therefore suitable for highly automated on-demand shuttle services. The PeopleMover L4 can be implemented as a shuttle service for the residents of the gated community within the premises of the community itself. The passengers would be picked up on demand, for example from the gates of the community, by the PeopleMover L4 and from there be shuttled on demand and driverless to their inner-community destination. During this drive, the passengers can use their time efficiently as there will be WiFi on board.
